Keene Library Winter Children's Events

GOT BOARD?...for all children up to age 13
(adult supervision required for children ages 10 and under)
- no sign-up required - Join us in the auditorium for some old fashion fun! We will provide a variety of board games and puzzles to play, some old and some new!

WEDNESDAYS 4-4:45pm (ends Feb 23, 2011)
TREASURE HUNT IN THE STACKS!...for children in third grade and older
-Have fun learning how to use the catalog to find your way around the library. Follow the clues to rind the rewards. Themes - Feb 9th: Cowboys, Feb 16th: Outer Space, Feb 23rd: Wild Animals

THURSDAYS 7-7:30pm
"GOODNIGHT STORIES"
-don't be afraid of the dark...come on over to the library for goodnight stories.

FRIDAYS 4-4:45pm
NON-FICTION? What's that about??..for ages 4th-8th grades.
-Join us as we explore the world of non-fiction! Each week look for a fun, unique and creative program.
Feb 4th: Drawing -practice drawing your favorite characters
Feb 11th: Build a car from household products
Feb 18th: Hidden treasures in a bottle
Feb 25th: Secret codes, Secret languages!
Mar 4th: Paperclips can do so many things
Mar 11th: Card houses -how many levels can you build!

Gym & Swim Class for Toddlers



The Valley Nebraska YMCA has a great class
to give your child the 'workout' he/she needs!

Winter II Classes start: February 20th - April 9th 2011
Time: Thursdays from (9:15am to 11:15am) $36 members, $72 non-members

This class is for ages 3-5 who are potty trained. Half of the class is spent playing games in the gym. The other half is spent in the water. A great way to keep your preschooler ACTIVE!

No Cost PreSchool Classes in Fremont

Fremont High School is again offering a FREE preschool program for children age 3 1/2 to 5 years old. All participating children MUST be potty-trained. The preschool will be held for a five-week period.

Time choices are:
Mondays/Wednesdays 10:15am-11:20am
Sept 20th through October 20th
or
Tuesdays/Thursdays 10:05am-11:20am
Sept 21st. through October 21st.

There also will be a second quarter session that will run from Nov 22 through Jan 6 with two classes - same days/times as above. Children may attend the first session, second session or both. The is NO cost involved. Application and information sheets are available in the main office at Fremont High School. You can also phone the FHS office at 727-3050.

Fremont Community-wide Vacation Bible School

This is the 2nd year of this wildly popular bible school for
Preschool aged kids ages 3-5. Please note: 3 year olds must be potty trained have reached their 3rd birthday by Oct 15, 2009 of last year.
and grade school kids K-5 grade completion.

This event will be held June 14-18 and the theme will be : High Seas Expedition!
