Mouthwatering Mondays - Candy Bar Cake

Are you planning a girlfriend's night out? This cake is amazing, and everyone knows that calories shared with friends don't really count. Right?

Candy Bar Cake

2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened

3 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla
4 oz. baking chocolate, melted & cooled
1 cup buttermilk

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping

1 bag (13.3 oz) fun sized Snicker's candy bars

1/2 cup chocolate frosting (warmed to drizzle)

Mix together dry ingredients and set aside. Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth and add vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate. Gradually beat in flour mixture, alternating with buttermilk. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes.

In the mean time, mix together sweetened condensed milk and caramel topping.

Immediately poke top of cake with fork & pour caramel mixture over warm cake. Sprinkle candy on top, then drizzle warmed frosting over the top.
